Summary
Lucas had liked Jason's lips since before he realized he wanted to kiss them.
Now that kissing was something they did... Well, Lucas didn't need any extra convincing to admit he liked them. Not that he was complaining, he certainly wasn't.
Making out, however, turns out to involve considerably more research than anticipated. It is awkward, a little strange, occasionally involves bumping teeth, and is absolutely worth doing again.

Lucas had no reason to fear. Jason would be fine, Jason had to be. Why would he call him if-
“Sorry, Angel, don't think I'll make it” Jason's voice cut into Lucas's spiral, only to worsen it at the second the words registered. He sounded softer now, his voice still rough, yes, but like when one has their throat irritated. It was his tone what was soft. Almost tender on the way he spoke.
Exactly the same tone he used the day he told Lucas he had stolen his favorite hoodie and stretched it almost impossibly just because Lucas had been too busy with College to meet with him in a week. Because he missed him he said, with the cutest scolded puppy face.
But that tone only meant one thing, and Lucas knew it.

Lucas won't accept anything longer than a "See you later", even if he has to leave the food to cool and break some traffic laws to make it.
