The black hole doesn’t need a reason to make itself known. That, Dazai knows well. He normally would have predicted its arrival, and he would have prepared accordingly. After all, he cannot let Odasaku down, not yet at least.
Unfortunately though, the light had started to reach him, and it now enveloped him whole.
It made him blind. It made him hope.Or: Dazai, distracted by life with the Agency, misses the early signs of a depressive episode.
Suddenly finding himself in the middle of one, he loses his footing, and he spirals.

Summary
Just as he finished setting up the link, the screen flashed a few times before going dark. The buzz of the pod sputtered to a stop, like an old truck on its last few miles of life. Not a healthy comparison.
Jake frowned, but before he could even think to whack some sense back into the machine, the lights came back on, and all the link data came rushing back to the screen.
Okay, then.
He glanced wearily over his shoulder, almost expecting Norm to appear out of nowhere to tell him he’d set the machine up wrong. He knows he did it right - but it’d never done that, before.

It takes five long years after the end of the war for the Metkayina to finally visit the Forest. Ao’nung has grown, but his eternal feelings for Neteyam never quite disappeared. Seeing Neteyam again can be the chance he asked for, but the Forest is not the only thing to dispute with, since now Neteyam is soon to be mated with someone else.
Ao'nung, Neteyam, and the inevitable storm that occurs when the sea and the wind collide.

A coming-of-age high school AU where Neteyam and Ao’nung become inseparable their freshman year, only for one-sided feelings and growing up to slowly pull them apart. But with college looming closer by the day, maybe finally writing the letter he’s spent years avoiding won’t hurt nearly as much as pretending he never loved him at all.
