Summary
A new villain comes up with an overdone scheme- to turn The Batman over to his enemy the Red Hood. Only, the trade goes wrong, and Jason and his siblings are left to deal with a 14 year old Bruce.

The kid's voice is soft, so so soft that it makes Jason’s heartbreak all over again. “A– Alfred Pennyworth…My ward. Im Bruce” His eyes gloss over and he stutters over the title Wayne like it burns.

Bruce stood up, reaching for the discarded cowl he’d pinned to his belt. “I--”
“Bruce.”
Two hands came down on his shoulders, pinning him into place. It was telling that, even after so many years, Ollie’s touch didn’t set off his instincts.
“You’re still my friend,” Ollie said quietly, meeting his gaze head-on. His surety curled into Bruce’s chest, bolstering him. “I hope you know that.”
We’re friends?
The part of him that remembered being twelve, remembered Ollie’s awkward, forced camaraderie, and the friendship that came after it -- that part of him ached, laid bare by honest words. Prompt:
Moments in time: Bruce using British terms in front of the Justice League by accident and being vaguely baffled because normally he's more aware of his language than that. The HORRIFYING REASON: Bruce is starting to get more comfortable being around them and is slowly, but surely, lowering his guard. Sounding vaguely British is a part of that, apparently.
