In Donghyuck's dream, Mark carried him back to his bed and crawled into it with him. When Donghyuck stirred, he quieted him with a kiss to the temple and told him to go back to sleep. He woke up in his own room wrapped into the space between Mark’s arms.
In real life, Donghyuck blinked awake on the couch in the living room to the sound of someone knocking around in the kitchen. He was alone.

Renjun waved the other off with a roll of his eyes and was still not aware of his entire family’s meltdown over the exchange.
“Junnie,” Guanheng finally piped up while the rest of their relatives were still staring shell-shocked. “Who was that?”
It was Jeno he almost said.
Jeno who loved milk. Jeno who crashed over their place so many times after being endlessly sexiled by his own roommate that he practically lived with them now. Jeno who called him and Mark ‘honey’ and vice versa as a little inside joke after a drunken night of watching Mamma Mia! and other musicals.
Jeno who was really only his friend.
This was what Renjun should have said. But instead, in a state of panic and self depreciation, Renjun said, “Jeno… my boyfriend.”

Renjun always accepts his affection more when they’re being filmed than at any other time, because it’s part of the facade, this game they all play. Donghyuck doesn’t want to stop, because he craves Renjun’s attention, and he’ll annoy him just to have it, just to know Renjun’s thoughts are on him; even if the thoughts are unkind.
