“Gustave gets eye strain from arcane journals. As I have told you,” she teases. “Such things tend to happen with age. You’ll have to grow used to it, now that you’re mortal like the rest of us.”
Age is always a strange topic for them. For everyone in the city. Verso no longer dyes his hair, and silver spills forth with every wash. His beard is salt-and-pepper. Lune longs to join him in that. Visible signs of age fills her with triumph. A satisfying sense of spite, even.

She’s a researcher, studious and observant. Of course she’d be more drawn to similar temperaments. She loses herself in her work, he loses himself in his music.
And with his encouragement for her to do the same, to be selfish and passionate and herself… that’s why she lies here now, tucked under his shirt, naked on his coat, listening to him play with no one to witness it but the stars. He’d helped her find closure for her parents. Comforted her through her disappointment in the truth. Encouraged her to be the voice in her own head so she could move on.

"Across the fire, she watched him." On a journey to take down the Paintress, against a backdrop of shattering loss and revelations, Lune found her attention straying to the enigmatic newcomer, Verso. He was a mystery, full of charm and evasive words: an interesting contradiction. She didn't account for his own curiosity and a sparked affection - or for the devastation that could follow. A what-if addressing how the romance aspect in Expedition 33 might have had a more defining effect on the story. Lune/Verso.

Nearly three years after saving the Canvas, Lune is restless. She's uncovered every mystery, solved every problem, and reached the limit of what the world can give her. Never before has she felt the world so small. The only remaining questions all circle back to the man she refuses to see, and who has isolated himself from everyone else. But when a dangerous new Nevron threatens the city and Maelle disappears, Lune has no choice but to go to him for answers.
Verso wants nothing more than to die. He'll settle for destroying any sliver of love between himself and those he called friend. But when Lune brings word of Maelle's disappearance and a Nevron he's never heard of, even he can't ignore the opportunity.
Once bound by respect and something deeper, Lune and Verso have nothing but distrust and loathing between them. They'll need more than that to save Maelle from the Nevron--and herself.

Things could don't have gone better for her amidst the Seventy-first Hunger Games-- the color of the year complemented her complexion beautifully, there was a feisty new winner from District Seven to celebrate with a lavish party and sparkling wine, and she had the perfect dress to wear to it.
Effie was having the time of her life. That is, until she found out Seneca revealed to Haymitch that she had accidentally said his name while with Seneca in bed.
