Summary
One where Soobin is Kai's online bestie and his real life childhood best friend, Yeonjun, doesn't get the hype of online friendships, after all Kai already has him and Soobin is probably a weird creep anyway. He remembered Soobin stumbling into the trainee dorm and shyly mumbling his way through his introduction. He’d still been in a school uniform. His cheeks rounded out with baby fat and his knees dangerously knobby. Almost immediately, Yeonjun had felt his heart skip a beat. His stomach had swooped. He had butterflies. And then, someone had asked, Soobin, who do you think is the most handsome guy here? Soobin, with almost no hesitation, had bit his lip, chewing on it nervously, while pointing at Yeonjun.
Everything could be traced back to that moment. It was when the incessant flirting had begun. And once they’d been placed in the debut lineup together and moved past a minor age misunderstanding fiasco, the incessant touching began. The praise made something flutter in Soobin's chest. It shouldn't mean so much, but it did. Soobin felt it throughout his entire body; he felt the smoke enter through his lungs but spread across to his heart, his stomach, his everything. Just like the way Yeonjun's eyes sometimes rake over him, with an unreadable expression on his face.
He didn't say anything, though, simply watching Soobin from a distance. And Soobin desperately wished for more, wanted Yeonjun to cross that distance between them, wanted his hands on him, wanted to feel him.
