This thing never leaves my mind sometimes it just takes a while for me to figure out how to say it.
An illithid and an unmanageable asset they thought they could control bounce around the Underdark trying to find somewhere safe. Pretty much every memory and perception is fragmented or missing and the two of them have to figure out how to survive both each other and worse, everything else.
I'm not great at following canon in these things.

The Last Strikers are some of the most powerful Heroes in the United States, called in when things get bad and there is no solution left but blood. The seven Heroes fight the truly desperate battles, often the last line of defense against villains whose schemes are less comical and more bloodthirsty. In their off-time, they live their lives as best they can, do some lower-level Hero work in their city, grapple with what their job as the killers of the Hero world means, and have a lot of kinky sex. Smut, fluff, and a lot of violence ensue.
(This is technically a Super Powereds fanfic, but it just uses like half the setting because I'm not interested in making Superhero World Number Nine Million And Twenty Three and I like the systems presented there. I'm pretty sure that none of the characters except Dispatch and maybe the Deans will appear, though quite a few will be mentioned and I don't actually know. Any canon characters who appear definitely won't be major, closer to cameos than anything. For those of you who know what this means, everyone who would be Powered in canon is Super here, with all attendant side effects happening in the background.)
