For eight months, a forgotten Forerunner shield world becomes John and Lauren’s sanctuary. Then the Traveler appears above it, silent and vast, carrying dreams of gardens, Light, and something terrible hunting through the dark.

Lauren is in labor. ONI arrives with the Yang Liwei. The Traveler flees. The Witness reaches the shield world. And caught between Forerunner preservation, Light, Darkness, and one unborn child’s first choice, humanity becomes something new.

Among the mortals whom the gods expect to serve them unconditionally, there are those who are dissatisfied with them. There are those who choose no longer to serve them, but man alone. That is the principle of the Prometheans, a group dedicated to serving man and man alone, sailing and daring to travel into waters unknown to find new lands and new treasures. With the death of the group's former leader, his adopted son Atticus takes charge, alongside him is his sister, Amphitrite, his first mate and only family. They set out to achieve their father's wishes, unfortunately, gaining the attention of the gods.
I'd just like to say that Neal Illustrator as just inspired me so much. I love her designs and her interpretation of the characters that gives them more depth. I hope to do the same with Amphitrite, making her more than just a random nereid or water nymph.
Also, the lore is tweaked here so there ain't no Sweet Home Alabama stuff going on (Don't come at me for it not being accurate) -

Peter Parker is eight years old when he notices the name, it happens on a Tuesday morning while he’s getting dressed for school.
There is nothing particularly special about the moment, Peter is just about to pull his shirt over his head when he glances towards the mirror on the back of his bedroom door and notices something strange near his shoulder. He stops what he is doing, dropping the shirt on the floor before moving closer to the mirror.
Peter freezes, his eyes locked on the letters that sit cleanly below his collar bone like they had been carefully written in black ink. He let his fingers brush over them like it might have been an accident, the ink doesn’t smear or fade it stays exactly as it is.

“Johnny,” he says, leaning his hip against the bench and crossing his arms. “You always this composed on the first day, or am I getting a special show?”
Johnny Storm, the only survivor of the space expedition, moves to New York. Running from the grief and the past, however, is made complicated by strange, unexplainable transformations and Peter Parker, a biophysics major harboring secrets of his own.

Is this real? Is this real? Am I real?
He bites at whatever he can reach with borrowed teeth. The arms, the fingers, the lips. He can feel the sting, can taste the blood. That's real. It's real. This body is real, at least, and he is in it. Now he just needs to keep it that way.
He fights through the blankets and sheets, limbs unfamiliar and confusing. The struggle sends him to the floor, but he manages to back up to the wall, using the blurry eyes to scan the room for danger. Whatever was consuming him in the darkness could've followed him out, after all, and he will not be caught unaware again. He wraps the arms around the body, squeezing, desperately trying to keep it together in one piece.
He'll keep it together and make it his and then he will finally be real.
