After years of friendship, Clay and George made plans to meet. Clay was both thrilled and terrified. He was scared because he couldn't use the screen as a buffer anymore. He couldn't hide his expression amidst his playful remarks and suggestive banter with facelessness. He couldn't hide the way his cheeks flushed when George laughed at his jokes, or when he lolled his head to the side reacting to his ribbing comments. None of that was possible in person.
George was coming to Florida for a week, and Clay worried he’d say or do things that could derail their friendship forever.
