Yasmina had many scars. Most were physical, and the cause of them connected to dinosaurs. And there were a few scars that were inside her, some small and shallow, barely touching the surface. Some longer and deep, and yet faded- not healed, but better than it was before.
And she had some scars that not even she was aware of. Some scars that ran too deep. Ones that didn’t fade. Ones that dug deep into her soul, until it broke her.

Summary
A 15-year-old scriptwriter and actor desperately needs a new hook for her audience, as she makes dinosaur horror movies. She decides to go to Jurassic World for research and more realistic special effects. Obviously, something goes wrong. As dinosaurs take back the island, she must learn to survive alone, becoming a battle-tested survivor. Eventually, she meets a group of teenagers in the same situation and begins to consider them her new family. One individual with a similar background sticks out, making her wonder where things could lead.

Summary
His time spent alone on Isla Nublar had been a nightmare in more ways than one. Not only had he been left behind, but he hadn't known the others were still there until he found them. He truly thought he was alone, back then. And being abandoned like that had left its scars.
He never blamed Darius for being unable to rescue him, but the fear of loneliness was a tenacious creature and had become a drive for Ben to always stay close to his found family. Safety in numbers. Strength in numbers. Survival of the group meant survival of the individual.
Ben's entire system had been rewired because of his experiences, and he didn't know how to fix himself.

The Nublar Six have made it home, but the damage caused by their time on the island leaves its scars and nightmares. While trying to find a way to fit into society again, the CEO of BioSyn invites them to see Sanctuary for what it has become thanks to their efforts. Though reluctant to enter an island full of dinosaurs again, the Nublar Six can't help but be curious.

His back slams into the grass, head knocking against the ground with an audible thud. Ben’s knees straddle his stomach, hands gripping the fabric of Kenji’s sleeves and effectively pinning him to the dirt. Kenji struggles against the hold for a minute, trying and failing repeatedly to sit up and push Ben’s weight off of his chest. The small boy had always been deceptively strong, but post-jungle Ben was easily stronger than most of them combined, other than Sammy, probably. He was light and thin, thus not entirely uncomfortable on top of Kenji’s torso, but the power in Ben’s taught muscles leaves Kenji giving up his attempts to free himself almost immediately.

Wrestling with the weight of his own mistakes and the knowledge that his dad might not be the man he thought he was, Kenji is willing to do whatever it takes to get Bumpy back, even if Ben will never forgive him.

There’s no time to apologize for her reckless panic. The parking brakes of the truck in front of them hiss and the driver steps down from the cabin to shift some sort of barricade out of the way. Both Yaz and Sammy duck down as far as they can in their seats, even though the vehicle is hidden away by the fog. It’s old habits that have them ducking for cover when it’s not practical. Those jungle instincts never really leave you, Ben admitted to her once. She hadn’t had the heart then to tell him that wasn’t a good thing.

After nearly drowning, Sammy, Yaz, and Ben sneak on board a DPW truck with the dinosaur that almost killed them, desperate for answers. Now they have to successfully break into a secret dinosaur trafficking operation, gather evidence for Darius and Kenji, and make it out alive. Piece of cake.
Sequel to Waterlogged, though if you really don't want to read that one, I'll provide a short summary in the notes. A rewrite of the second half of Chaos Theory season one, with some extra hurt Ben and Yazsammy love. Told from Sammy's perspective. Rated Teen for injuries and language.
