It wasn't just any fight that the Ganesha Familia could quickly contain, but a brutal battle where adventurers were hurled away by shockwaves, a power worthy of at least a level 7.
Two Familias I had never seen before were in the streets: one composed entirely of men and the other entirely of women.

The only solace in his suffering was the various anime and manga made available to him between experiments. For years he nurtured the desire to be free, until at the age of 14 he died when an organization had tried to kidnap him from the lab...

This was Vahn's last thought as he faded into the endless black abyss...

The city of Orario is on the eve of a great event: the tournament of the gods, Mortal Kombat.
Originally used to protect a realm from invaders from other realms, the tournament now serves as entertainment for the gods, albeit with the same rules and violence as always.
Earthrealm once housed the most powerful champions from all realms, but since Liu Kang took control of the hourglass and recreated the timeline to the present, with the necessary modifications, the gods initially lost interest in Mortal Kombat. However, with the Age of Gods, interest has resurfaced.
The gods came to Earthrealm intending to create heroes within their Families, but with Mortal Kombat, they created champions.
But only the last descendant of an otherworldly race would win that tournament:
The last cryomancer to exist, Sub-Zero of the Hestia Familia: Bell Cranel.
