Summary
Trying my hand at a sports-fandom romance. It's a dual POV, friends-to-lovers slow burn centered on a completely fictional WNBA player and a PWHL player heavily inspired by Sarah Nurse. Since Nursey is such a great ally, I hope she doesn't mind the inspiration. The story jumps around in time as it follows their journey.
Izzy Rostova is the daughter of a former U.S. men's hockey star who grew up playing both hockey and basketball. Although she ultimately chose a career in basketball, she remained close friends with her former rival, Sara Night, a forward for Team Canada. What began as a childhood rivalry eventually grew into a lifelong friendship—but perhaps something more.
