After Wilhelmina takes control of MODE, Daniel is offered to lead a different magazine within the company. He turns this down and instead chooses to take a vacation around Europe. While out there, he meets a mysterious stranger and accepts an invitation to a remote castle.
Daniel returns to New York three months after he left, changed. He resolves to take his job back and continue working at MODE, alongside his family and Wilhelmina Slater, whom he has complicated feelings for. This is while dealing with his recent transformation and the new powers and dietary requirements it has given him.

I was actually inspired by not only the REO Speedwagon hit, but by a sweet YouTube video of "Smallville" with Erica Durance as Lois Lane in a Lois and Clark love montage! Plus, I've been watching lots of "Viva Betty" podcasts with Ana Ortiz and Mark Indelicato. I decided that before things get even busier at work, I would try to distract myself from all the crazy stuff going on in RL right now by writing Ugly Betty, my go-to therapy session!

They get to talking about what they really think of the other, and this leads to something more when the gap is closed between them.

And just goes to prove how EASILY the writers in Season 4 shoulda, woulda, coulda put Daniel and Betty together!
