“Do you think Robin comes here often?” Bernard asked as he hopped through the broken window.
Interesting perspective. “Why would he? Unless this is some secret bird cave.” Tim suggested as he followed the other boy through the window.
The blonde snorted. “If Robin has a birdcave, Batman totally has a batcave.”
“You think he puts bat- in front of everything.”
“Oh I know he does. Besides this is the type of place you’d bring someone to kiss in secret: abandoned like any other warehouse but cosy in a rustic, Narrows way.”
Tim faltered at that. He searched for something in Bernard's face but the other had his back to him, seemingly interested in the china cabinet with a distinct lack of china.
Sticking his composure back together, Tim replied with an amused lilt, “You think the Boy Wonder has a paramour?”
The other boy finally turned to him with a knowing smirk. “Well yeah, he’s attractive as hell.”

Summary
Nine months have passed since Bruce had fallen into a coma. A year since Jason had passed.
Everything has changed, life moved on with out him, Dick moved on with out him. He had to.
But how does he even start to explain it?
“The Joker is dead.” Bruce states, eyes opening to look at him. “Alfred told me he died due to his own bomb.”
Dick’s mouth dries, but he’s able to force out an answer. “Yeah.”
“That doesn’t mean this is a good idea.” Bruce states firmly.
“Bruce.” Dick runs a hand through his hair, heart sinking. “You don’t-”
“Do you think you’re ready to raise a kid?” Bruce asks. “Your twenty-two practically a kid yourself-”
“I’m twenty-three Bruce.” Dick interrupts. “You were in a coma for nine months, my birthday’s past.”

“Jason?” Bruce said. His voice is shaking. He had hallucinations before. But this one seemed real.
Jason Todd. The boy Wonder was standing right in front of him in his Robin costume, holding a burger in one hand and a soda in the other.
“Uhh Yeah. Who did you think was here? C’mon Bruce, I think Alfred is a little too old to get confused with me.” The innocent boy looked up at him with a smile. Bruce almost couldn't breathe.
He was too busy running to the batmobile like he wasn't currently six feet under at the local graveyard next to his mom.

He never wanted to take Jason's spot of being Robin; he just happened to know Bruce needed help.
The poor kid didn't know what he was saying.And yet. He had ever lasting effects.
"Hey Jay..” He said carefully. The silence in the air spoke for about a minute before being interrupted.
“Well- were all at the dinner table wanna come join?" It was a stupid question, he thought. He didn't want to find himself laughing or smiling so he boarded his room and kept in there. Even on missions though in the town you'd never catch him laughing between them. Jason knew he never joined dinners anymore. Not after the incident. Sometimes from the rest of the house you could hear the manic giggle of suppression.

Bernard had never been a fan of altars.
Even before he found himself flat on his back, wrists tied uncomfortably above his head with ropes that scratched like twine made from cat tongues, he had a thing about them. Too dramatic. Too blood-sacrifice-y. Too “You’re not getting out of this one, Dowd.”
This one especially sucked.
The chaos monsters—twenty of them, if he’d counted right before the chanting started—looked like something spat out by a D-list demon god with bad taste and a love for ooze. Horns, claws, teeth in weird places. Too many eyeballs, and not enough common sense.
Bernard strained against the ropes as the lead freak—bigger, slimier, and apparently in charge—raised a jagged ceremonial knife above its head. The others screamed in some language Bernard had been tuning out for the past hour.
Then the knife came down.
Straight into his sternum.
He braced for pain. He’d tried not to scream when it happened, maybe leave this world with some shred of dignity. But instead—
Nothing.
Or, what could've happened if Tim hadn't made it in time to save Bernard.

Summary
Timothy Drake, as of right now, is living three lives: that of the highschooler, that of the vigilante, and (slightly more pressing), that of the changeling, working to free Gunmar from the darklands, set off the Endless Night, and subsequently kick off the end of the world as we know it.
Here's the kicker, however - Tim doesn't actually want the world to end. No, he quite likes it as it is, with its energy drinks, and its older-brother-figures, and its photography, and its Steph. Ideally, things can continue on as they have: Tim feeds information to the Janus order, so they don’t hunt him for sport, and the Killahead bridge is never completed and Gunmar never escapes – everyone’s happy and Tim’s not exposed or dead. Yay!
Of course, things are never that easy.Or: Trolhunters in Gotham AU that nobody asked for, with Tim as a changeling and Trollhunters taking place in Gotham City rather than Arcadia Oaks. Because I can.

It’s easier this time, to slip away from them, excuse sitting on the tip of his tongue. But they’re too caught up in each other to notice him step into the shadow of the stairs, so he says nothing. Bruce’s cheek rests on Dick’s head, his arm around Jason’s shoulders, and the two brothers are pressed flush. No one looks for him.
It’s better this way, he reminds himself. He doesn’t want it.
The itch is there, trailing the cold flush that spreads down his neck into his chest, but it’s so easy to ignore now. He’d been able to continue fighting while Nightwing had had to fall back, while Red Hood retreated under the guise of making sure the other vigilante wasn’t further compromised.
That reminder is the boost he needs to tear his eyes from the huddled group and finally leave the cave.
Tim’s convinced that the only way to become immune to Ivy’s cuddle pollen is to deprive himself of the physical touch it makes him crave.
It works.
