Summary
Masaki Ichi was eleven when Hero Enterprises put him in his first consultation room. Thirteen when he had a product line. Eighteen when he had a PhD, a breakdown, and a thorough understanding of what the hero industry does to children it calls exceptional.
His quirk can show him the half-life of anything he touches: metal fatigue, structural failure, stress fractures, the exact point where something gives. He built support gear for heroes until he understood one thing too clearly: the industry does not ask what it costs until something breaks.
At twenty-one, U.A. gives him a visitor badge, a converted storage room, and a chance to try again. Aizawa wants answers. Hatsume wants to take apart his work. Masaki just wants to stop being useful long enough to become a person.
The timeline is fractured. The epigraphs are not.
