Clarissa’s granddaughter stumbles upon an old picture Clarissa had kept all those years since Lesso had passed. No one knew of her and Lesso, not really anyway. Many speculated but none ever confirmed it or not.
Clarissa’s granddaughter decides to listen to the tale, and becomes very intrigued to learn a whole new side to both her grandmother and the infamous Dean of Evil.
As it was Clarissa had always promised Lesso she’d tell anyone who wanted to hear about Lesso after she passed away. To which Lesso had snarkily stated no one would want to know about her. That was something that drove Dovey all those years, knowing she needed to tell the tale of the Greatest Witch there ever was, and her’s love story.

Basically, in this story, lesso survived her book 3 death scene. I’ll have a flashback at some point explaining how she survived and like what happened in the book dovey using the crystal ball, and damages her lungs and then she gets more injured in the battle. In this story, she doesn’t die she survives And has to slowly recover from the lung damage, but she can never fully recover because the damage was to much and there was literally a bit in the books where it says how doveys lungs were damaged beyond repair, so if she had survived she wouldn’t of fully healed she would’ve had permanent lung damage so this story basically talks about that and is inspired by that
It will start off with the scene where she is meant to have died, but she survived
Important things about this fanfic
1. I’ve change the story so then lesso is alive in this story line.
2. The story lines are from the books, but the characters are the movie characters
3. The popular Headcanon/theory that Lessos cane in the movie is for a reason is Canon in this fanfic.
4. Unlike the books dovey does survive this scene, but because of how badly injured she was in this scene. She doesn’t survive it unscathed.

I’ve seen quite a few people writing one shots or story’s about what if lady lessos cane wasn’t just for show and there was actually a reason she used it but she tried to hide it and keep it quite from everyone.
So i decided to try and rewrite most if not each of her movie scenes to include if the cane was used for a reason.
At the moment I only have one chapter done and it’s only the first attempt but if people want more of this idea please let me know and I’ll write some more.
