Summary
Joe arrives home late; he’s tired and pissed off after schmoozing potential new clients in the company of vile Ken. He hates that his precious energy is wasted on such banalities rather than focusing on the important work he and Ryan are doing, but he’s hopeful after this weekend and this new deal, that will all change.
To his great astonishment, his ex, Cameron Howe, is waiting at his door, and he wonders if his evening is about to get better or worse. He is more than a little intrigued as to why she is there. (S03E06)Warning: for sexual fantasties/reflections

Summary
Gordon didn’t notice it until after Joe had gone (the first time, after the truckful of burning computers), but once he did it was impossible to ignore. The way he would insert himself into Gordon’s space, as if calculating the minimum distance between them that would be considered comfortable and professional and then stepping just over that line.

Summary
Not that Joe doesn’t always seem larger-than-life. He does, always. He’s a blackhole for attention every time he walks in a room. And Ryan knows that he’s particularly susceptible, but he sees it in other people too, men and women. Joe is a magnet, a target for bending curves of attraction, invisible but as effective as an ocean undertow. And at least as dangerous.

Summary
In lieu of a thousand words about why this is a Good and Beautiful ship that has won me over in record time, I'll just say: welcome to what might be the first in a series of Ryan/Joe fics attempting to fill in the gaps between their scenes in canon, depending on where the show takes us and how hard things get Jossed in the process.
Takes place after 03x05.
I like this season 3 Joe. I think this Joe is making good on showing that he has a lot of goodness in him. I just think he's very, very careful about who he shows - and I also think he realizes that he can't wait for the perfect moment to do so anymore.

HACF: Cam & Joe: A Time-Spanning Rollercoaster Romance by Salvanella
Fandom Halt and Catch Fire
26 Aug 2021
Summary
Evolution and development of the relationship between Cameron Howe and Joe MacMillan through Seasons 1-4 and beyond.
Explains how the years and events have shaped and affected their growth as people, their relationship and their personalities.
All the parts try to follow the HACF timeline and events depicted on the show as closely as possible, with a bit of creative license about events only referred to.
Exceptions
- plot deviaton when Cam and Tom tried for a baby
- post-Ryan's suicide, Joe's apartment is in San Jose not San FranciscoPretty raunchy but with plot (porn with plot? plorn?? poot?! no plorn!) – predominantly M, two T (Fate 1 & Goddammit) and two E (Curious & Airstreaming).

Summary
Takes place in current time, between episode 8 and episode 9. It involves Ryan Ray, Joe, and Cameron. This is how I think it should go.
Cameron tells Tom that she loves him over and over, and she married him. But when she looks into that closet, the emptiness is a mirror. Her head is spinning with the recent death of Ryan Ray, and the only thing that she can see clearly in all of the darkness surrounding her is the face of Joe Macmillan.
