Something that always seemed to surprise people about Q was that he was an inveterate voyeur. Q had never quite understood the surprise. After all, anyone who could reasonably claim to know him, either knew that he worked in intelligence, or knew him to be a hacker and information broker—two occupations which surely were self-evidently masturbation fuel for any serious voyeur.
Q's life is finally where he wants it to be. His work is fine, his cats are fine, he's rekindling his relationship with his whackjob ex and having some really fine cybersex. Bond, as he is wont to do, has decided that now was the perfect time to confess his feelings. Q would be lying to himself if he said he'd never held a small flame for the man, and it's all very well and good, but the timing is extremely convenient. It would be easier for the both of them were it not.

Ethan Nakamura thought he was dead when he fell from the Mount Olympus after betraying Kronos. He is surprised when he wakes up in a hospital with Superman watching over him. He is even more surprised when he discovers he's in an entirely different universe. And that the comics he had read as a kid are real.
The Justice League is use to alternate versions of themselves and their sidekicks showing up. So a demigod from a universe where they're comic book characters is a bit of a surprise but none the less they are ready to handle this situation. It's just a matter of who will take him in.
Hal Jordan steps up (dragging Guy, John and Kyle into this whole ordeal too) when he learned about Ethan's past. He better than anyone knows what it's like. And he wants to help this traumatized teenager find some semblance of closure before they send him home.

James aimerait comprendre pourquoi, à l'approche des fêtes de Noël, Mallory est si distant avec tout le monde. De fil en aiguille, il découvre un passé brisé, des promesses qui s'échappent, et un coeur gonflé de remords qui ne demande qu'une main tendue pour l'aider à se libérer du poids du silence.
Mais au sein du MI-6, les conflits demeurent, et les traîtres se multiplient, attendant dans l'ombre le meilleur moment pour frapper et mettre un terme à une quiétude qui n'a que peu duré.

A despondent James returns to England alone and finds MI6 in a dire situation, with the Quartermaster at the centre of it.

"Remember when I nearly lost my job in my first week because you asked me to make you disappear?” James struggled to hear him through the sounds of the crowd and the muffling of the scarf.
He tilted the corner of his mouth up, “How could I forget?”
Q continued, refusing to face James, “And how I lied to M about the smart blood-” James hummed, keeping his eyes forward- “and how I travelled by plane to personally warn you away from chasing Spectre, only for you to ask me for ‘a final favour’, which nearly got me kidnapped in a ski lift?” James did remember. He remembered hearing from Moneypenny how Q nearly got shot, too. She hadn’t been very happy about that.
“Are you finally cashing in?” he asked, the ball dropping. The theatrics were entirely unnecessary, though.
Q dipped into an alley, and James followed behind him, boxing Q away from the crowd.
“Can I trust you?” Q asked, instead of answering the question. “Can I trust you, like when you asked me to trust you, and I did, undoubtedly?”

He broke in.
Unfortunately for the sanctity of the window in the guest bathroom, the front entrance was too heavily fortified.
He slipped in, vaguely grunting as the action pulled at his barely scabbing wounds. His deerskin loafers made no sound as he crept forward, avoiding the subtle tripwires hidden carefully in the warm wooden flooring.
At last, he reached the master bedroom, and carefully turned the knob. The gentle pull to open it was nerve wracking, even for an agent as experienced as him.
There was an immediate flurry of movement, and his heart started to pound, his network of capillaries flooding with adrenaline as a sleek, modified glock was pointed at him.
It lowered a moment later. ”Bond?”
