So, here’s the problem—because there is a problem, despite how well this is all going for Michael, given the circumstances. The problem is that when Michael turns twenty-one, Loomis will suggest to the courts, as Michael’s doctor, that the boy is unsavable. And because he is unreachable, he cannot be up for any release program.
Instead, Loomis would vouch for Michael’s continued incarceration.

But when a breakthrough with said patient is reached, it reveals something about Spade that may just put her in danger. Determined to save his twin, Diamond performs a ritual to enter the world some of their patients come from. Desperate to find the only person she can trust, Spade performs the same ritual. But something goes wrong, and they end up in a world similar to the one their brother is in, but filled with different people. Some who know more about her brother than she’s willing to admit.
