    Summary

It started with a simple request: Marilla asking Anne to clear out the bathroom drawer. But when she mentions it’s stuffed full of pregnancy tests—hundreds of them, plus three that looked positive—right in the middle of class, the whole school hears every word. Suddenly everyone is whispering, judging, and assuming the worst: Anne Shirley is disgraced, pregnant, and hiding a scandal.

Anne fights back with lies and old negative tests to protect her secret marriage to Gilbert, buying them time. But privately, the truth is terrifying: the positives are real… or are they? More tests bring conflicting results, nausea and exhaustion take hold, and even the doctor can’t say for sure. Now sixteen-year-old Anne and Gilbert are trapped in a heartbreaking limbo—married, terrified, and waiting to find out if their life is about to change forever, while the whole village watches and whispers.

    Summary

At seventeen, Anne Shirley carries more strength and secret history than anyone in Avonlea could ever guess. When she brings fifteen-year-old Elara to school, everyone assumes she’s just a new friend or cousin—jealousies spark, gossip flies, and even Diana feels replaced. Only Gilbert senses the terrifyingly protective bond between them, hinting at a past no one imagines.

Then a fight over a flannel shawl changes everything. In a flash of anger, Anne calls Elara her daughter—and the truth comes crashing out.

    Summary

It began at two in the morning: Anne at Diana’s door, soaked, sobbing, and carrying a secret heavy enough to destroy everything they knew. Pregnant, secretly married to Gilbert for months, and terrified of ruining his future, she tried to carry the weight alone—until the truth spilled out at school for everyone to see.

Between judgment, scandal, and her own desperate fear of holding him back, Anne tried to push him away. But when labor came early, fast, and dangerously breech, it was Gilbert who fought to save her and their child on the Barrys’ parlor floor. A story of love that defied rules, a birth that nearly cost a life, and the moment Anne realized: the family she was afraid to build was the only thing worth keeping.

    Summary

Miss Stacy challenges her students to explore the gaze—how men perceive women—as part of the Avonlea Talent Showcase, asking for work that holds a mirror to society. Everyone expects Anne Shirley to deliver a poetic, romantic verse about purity or idealized love. Instead, she brings a reckoning.

What begins as a performance turns into a deliberate, devastating provocation. Anne unleashes two searing, explicit pieces that dismantle the way society sexualizes girls, fetishizes innocence, and reduces women to objects—exposing the grotesque double standard where maturity is punished and childishness is demanded. The performance shocks the town to its core, culminating in a defiant act of rebellion that sparks a riot among Avonlea’s "respectable" citizens.

But when the town attempts to silence her, calling her corrupted and devilish, Anne drops the final, crushing truth: she did not write these words from imagination. She wrote them from memory. In a cold, clear voice that shatters every illusion of Avonlea’s wholesomeness, she names the reality of her past—survival of systemic abuse, exploitation, and violation by the very type of "upstanding men" who now stand in judgment of her.

    Summary

What began as a golden afternoon of laughter and herb-drying in the kitchen of Green Gables quickly transforms into a grueling journey through the shadows of life and death. When Anne’s labor begins unexpectedly, she finds herself caught between the poetic wonder of a new life and the primal, terrifying reality of the "fire of womanhood."

Gilbert Blythe, caught between his roles as a devoted husband and a budding physician, must anchor Anne through a storm that threatens to sweep her away. But when the joy of their daughter’s birth is met with a sudden, devastating silence and a rising crimson tide, Gilbert is forced to make a choice: to succumb to the terror of a husband, or to find the strength of a doctor to pull his "Carrots" back from the brink.

A story of the blood, sweat, and sacred gravity that defines the transition from girlhood to motherhood, and the love that refuses to let go.

    Summary

Gilbert Blythe has never been one for subtlety when it comes to Anne Shirley, but even for him, the massive hand-painted sign outside the schoolhouse is a bold move. He’s ready to ask for a chance to court her and an invitation to the upcoming carnival.

However, in Avonlea, "Girl Code" is law, and everyone knows Ruby Gillis has claimed Gilbert since the third grade. When the girls arrive at school and see Gilbert holding his grand declaration, the assumption is immediate: it’s finally Ruby’s moment. But when Ruby’s joyful "yes" is met with Gilbert’s blunt "No, not you—Anne," the social fabric of the schoolyard shreds in an instant.

Caught between a mortified Ruby, a sneering Josie Pye, and a confused Gilbert, Anne chooses loyalty over love. With a death glare that would wither a stump, Anne leaves a reeling Gilbert in the dust to chase after a heart-broken Ruby. It’s an apology Anne shouldn’t have to give, but in the cutthroat world of Avonlea friendships, it’s the only way to survive the walk home.

    Summary

"Already pregnant, Gilbert," she whispered back, her voice carrying just enough weight to reach the stunned ears of Diana Barry in the next desk. "Already very, very pregnant. There’s no going back now."The air in the Avonlea schoolhouse is thick with the scent of chalk dust and the drone of quadratic equations. For Anne Shirley-Cuthbert, it's also thick with the suffocating weight of an eight-month pregnancy.

Hidden beneath oversized pinafores and dramatic diversions, Anne’s "vivid" reality is finally catching up to her. When Miss Stacy calls her to the chalkboard, the "geometry" of the room shifts forever. Gilbert Blythe is prepared to defend her with a pining devotion that borders on mischief, but even he can't stop the inevitable explosion.

The ribbons are untied, the scandal is out, and Avonlea will never be the same.

This is one of many fanfics I have written so expect more that will be longer as I know this one is quite short but my others are much longer I promise!

    Summary

Reposting from FanFiction.net. I'll make updates as I have the energy to do so.

An AoGG universe where love and magic are distant cousins and Gilbert Blythe is in the middle of it all! Gilbert Blythe was born with the ability to supernaturally heal but then lost his abilities. Now that Anne has accepted him, and loves him, his shattered abilities fuse back together, but will it be enough to help Anne through a difficult pregnancy?

This story starts at the end of Anne of the Island and will end somewhere before or after Jem's birth. (Still not sure yet.)

I chose no warnings in this, but you should know that I discuss sexuality frankly. Some scenes are adult in nature and not meant for minors.

    Summary

Starting off just after the last episode of season three, this story will be my own version of how the story of most Anne with an E characters will end. While it is very much Anne/Gilbert centric, I also have plans to expand on Bash's, Jerry's and Ka'kwet's stories, and maybe a few more.
I will do my best to write everyone in-character and be as loyal to cannon as possible. Artistic licences will probably be taken on some minor topics, but the story will otherwise be as "realistic" as possible.
I did not read the books on which the series is based. I might google some things in order to include them in my story, but nothing mayor. Mostly just ideas for new characters or events. Aside from that, this will be my own take on the story, primarily based on the show and not so much the books.
Thank you for reading!! I apreciate all comments and kudos. This is the first work I have ever posted, and if it goes well I might explore some other fandoms I'm interested in. Probably Avatar the Last Airbender, Sokka/Zuko centric, or a DC superbat one (I honestly surprised myself picking a straight couple for my first fanfic).

    Summary

It was strange, she thought, that so much could change, and yet nothing around her looked any different. The kitchen wasn’t just the kitchen anymore, it was where she and Muriel had spent countless hours talking. Where the two of them had begun to learn each other. The kitchen table wasn’t just a table, but the central point from which everything else had begun.

In which we pick back up the morning after the events of "Push and Pull," and Marilla & Muriel begin to navigate their newfound love.
For kitnkabootle, because I rewatch her "this is me" Marilla/Muriel edit on a concerningly regular basis and it managed to rekindle the muse from Push and Pull with some serious energy (it only took 5-ish years).

    Summary

Gilbert Blythe, Crown Prince of the kingdom of Avonlea, is about to turn twenty-one and assume his position as the High King. But before he can do that, he must marry. Someone who can call a hurricane or cause an avalanche with the wave of her hand. Avonlea is a small kingdom that requires protection, so only a Caster Queen will do. For centuries, the Caster Queen is chosen through a competition called the Casting Trials, where eligible young Caster ladies grow their abilities and compete for the hand of the prince.
Anne Shirley-Cuthbert, and orphan from the mainland and now adopted daughter of the Lord and Lady Cuthbert, is invited to participate in the Casting Trials, a time honored tradition on Avonlea. Completely sure that the prince will never choose her, Anne decides to use this as an opportunity to finally learn to handle her Fire Caster gift. And maybe get in some adventures along the way?
