Summary
Remember this fact about Mega Man 1: Roll was originally meant to have a much larger role in the game. In addition to the storyline revolving around her being kidnapped by Dr. Wily along with the other eight original Robot Masters, a giant, corrupted, and monstrous version of her was going to be fought as the final boss prior to Wily himself.
Yeah, well, Roll has a traumatizing nightmare where that is exactly what happens.

Summary
Connor is forcibly recalled to Cyberlife after deviating. They attempt to reprogram him, causing painful system resets and memory fragmentation. This enforces a new mission on him: Kill Hank Anderson. Connor must painfully fight his new coding and find his way back to the man whom he calls a father, the man he must kill.
