It was everything Foolish had ever dreamed it’d be. He had spent countless hours fantasizing what the moment would be like, and every single one of the scenarios he’d cooked up over the years paled in comparison to seeing the real thing. There wasn’t a word that lived up to the pure beauty of the golden radiance in front of him. The sun WISHED it could be that incredible.
It was the first time Vegetta had seen the lights, las luces, so close. It was pretty, this was probably the best vantage point to see the event. The lanterns weren’t the best part of the view in his opinion. They WISHED they could be as incredible as the man across from him.

With his head still ducked, he can see it when Foolish steps closer once more, and now they’re close, too close, and it’s all Vegetta can do to take a breath through his mouth instead of his nose, the iron wall cracking – but it’s hardly better because he can practically taste Foolish in the air as he knew he would be able to; it’s as if one, small drop of blood has been tantalisingly held above his tongue and now he’s even more desperate for it, prickles of fire eating away at his skin as he stands there with this – this stupid werewolf in front of him, offering himself up for Vegetta to bite.

Just the thought of…everyone he considered his family and friends dying or disappearing made his skin crawl. He should’ve been used to it by now—he was immortal, he knew people would die during his lifetime—and yet, he had gotten so comfortable, so used to having a family and friends that he had gotten swept up in that love.
The thought of them dying had practically never crossed his mind. Whenever Leo disappeared, she always came back, even if she was a bit cracked, so why couldn’t the others do the same? A whirlwind of emotions grow in his chest, making breathing feel nearly impossible. His eyes sting as the wind blows. He should’ve known this would’ve happened eventually and he did—so why did it hurt so much?
