For all Dennis knows, they’re buried under a hillside’s worth of dirt, and any exit point is blocked by more suffocating darkness.
Trinity forces out a laugh, cold and ironic. “We don’t have our phones, I don’t hear any sirens, and I’m literally pinned to this godforsaken house. We’re not leaving any time soon.”

Peter groaned as the weight of the ceiling above him pushed him down to his knees, both them as well as his hands and feet screaming in pain from the growing heat all around him. In the corner of his eyes, he could see the ground shifting as magma pushed its way upwards to find its escape from the earth.
“I knew this was a terrible idea,” Peter grumbled to himself as volcanic rocks fell all around him.
