Summary
Mel is forced to abruptly switch up her entire life and start over in an unfamiliar place.
The small town she moves to appears, at first glance, to be quiet, conventional, and completely predictable.
Her new home is a dilapidated shack, the neighbor boy has an obsession with the paranormal.
Initially, she gets swept up in it all, purely out of boredom and a longing for distraction.
But after hearing stories of witch burnings, an ancient cave in the nearby woods, and shadows that seem to move of their own accord, even she can no longer deny that something here is not quite right.The town has a history, one that Mel must piece together bit by bit; and the longer she stays, the more she finds herself grappling with that history, along with a steady escalation of seemingly paranormal occurrences.
What exactly is Vita? Why does the small town appear to be haunted? And what does any of this have to do with a paramilitary cult holed up in a bunker?

Ihr neues Heim ist eine Bruchbude, der Nachbarsjunge hat eine Obsession mit dem Paranormalen.
Zu Beginn lässt sie sich mitreißen, rein aus Langeweile und der Sehnsucht nach einer Ablenken.
Doch nach Geschichten über Hexenverbrennungen, einer alten Höhle im nahgelegenen Wald und sich frei bewegenden Schatten kann auch sie bald nicht mehr leugnen, dass irgendwas hier nicht ganz richtig läuft.Der Ort hat eine Geschichte, welche Mel sich Stück für Stück zusammenreimen muss und je länger sie bleibt, desto mehr muss sie sich mit dieser und stetig zunehmenden vermeintlich paranormalen Geschehnissen rumschlagen.

Sebastian is certain that she is just another person he will come to avoid, but she keeps showing up with her foxlike grin and little gifts. She might stare off into space or use her watering can at awkward times, but she still must be tired from overworking herself at her office job. There is no way she could be something else.

Summary
Fanfic of another fanfic, heavily inspired by "Operation: I am Human" by StandingBi.
The Justice League believes Batman is a cryptid due to his tendency to use bird calls, hisses and grunts rather than words, odd mannerisms and other pieces of evidence that don't help Bruce's case. He struggles to clear the misunderstanding and continues making poor social decisions, which only fuels the fire.
Chap 1: Hal gets the crazy idea to flash a laser pointing during a Justice League meeting. Bruce believes a sniper has somehow broken into headquarters, and chases after the laser. Everyone gravely misinterprets the situation, believing it to be some sort of instinctual urge. It spirals into something comedic, and entirely avoidable.
+ Various instances of the JL charting Bruce’s poor social skills to an animalistic instinct.
