When you’re a 14-year-old superhero, you hear the gossip about your alter ego at school. Alex Power was no exception. He heard the debates over whether “Zero-G” had telekinesis or superstrength as his superpower. He heard girls swoon over this mysterious superhero. He heard boys seethe with jealousy over meeting as many heroes as possible. There is one discussion he winced when he heard it in the school locker room.
“Zero-G is compensating for something,” said a boy appropriately named Dick.
“What do you mean?” said Alex.
“Well if you look at his suit, you don’t see much of a bulge in the nether regions if you know what I mean.” Dick waved his eyebrows at this.

Avengerkink prompt:
"Sometime post-movie, Loki has teamed up with another villain and is happily (and quite effectively) wreaking havoc on the city. That is until one of his new ally's attacks nearly takes out a child (or group of children?). It could be that this triggers memories of losing his own kids or seeing them suffer, or it could just be that he's totally not ok with kids being part of the collateral damage. In any case, he either diverts the attack or shield's the child from it. And then proceeds to completely obliterate his no-longer-ally.
The Avengers get a look at Protective!Daddy!Loki, and learn that it is a truly terrifying thing.
For an interesting twist, I wouldn't mind reading something similar but with it being one of the Avengers who nearly hits the kid. Maybe the kid steps out into the line of fire or they just don't see him/her until it's too late. They have a moment of ice-cold horror when they realise what they've done before Loki swoops in and saves the day."
