Perhaps the words didn't mean much to the woman, there was no comfort here.

Summary
All Samus wanted after ZDR was a quiet mission so she can collect her thoughts and still get paid. On what was supposed to be a simple survey commission, she is ambushed by Space Pirates and crash lands on an uncharted planet, HYL-628. With no information about this planet, and long range communications cut off by the magical field surrounding the solar system, Samus needs to figure out a way to get back to galactic civilization.
Meanwhile, Zelda is doing her best to rebuild Hyrule after years of Ganondorf's destruction and tyranny. Four years have passed since she sealed him away and sent the Hero of Time back to the past. She has to contend with frayed foreign relations, renegades that used to be loyal to Ganondorf, and now a new threat from the skies that has been abducting people all over the land. The army loyal to her is ill-equipped to handle any of these issues as disaster looms over the fractured and bankrupt Kingdom of Hyrule.
This is a tale of two unlikely characters crossing paths, and how they face disaster together.

Summary
Some time after the events of Metroid Dread, Samus and Adam are contacted by the Galactic Federation. They have detected signs of a threat thought long-gone: A Leviathan Seed, spreading the corruption of phazon across an unfamiliar planet, Remnant.
Stranded with only her basic power suit to rely on, Samus must ally herself with the planet's inhabitants - an organization dedicated to training teams of bounty hunters - in order to restore her true potential and face the phantoms of her past.
Phazon is a source of great power, however. And where there is power to claim, there will always be those aiming to control it. With this new resource at their disposal, threats both native to Remnant and hailing from beyond the stars may become truly unstoppable.

The year is 235 after the Galactic Advent. Civilizations across the Milky Way, united under the Galactic Federation, now struggle against the enigmatic and unrelenting Space Pirate threat. To combat this foe, the Galactic Federal Police keep watchful outposts in every corner of federally-controlled space. On the savage world known as SR-388, a biologic research team has just discovered something which should have been left forgotten beneath the surface.
This is a retelling of the Metroid story with a focus on worldbuilding and character development. It is also an experiment, being my first narrative work. Please let me know what you think-- not just about the story, but about the writing style, pacing, characterization, etc. I aspire to write original fiction, so your criticism at this point will be immeasurably helpful and greatly appreciated.Series

Summary
Turns out you can't just blow up a planet to make a space-faring species go extinct. Immediately after Samus' mission to ZDR, she finds out that some of the X Parasites survived, and there's no telling where they'll turn up next. And so, though her transformation into a metroid is far from fully halted, she sets out to do what she has always done: finish the mission.
But the X Parasites are not mindless monsters waiting to be gunned down by overwhelming firepower, and if they have their say, the situation will quickly turn into one that an arm cannon can't solve.

Perhaps it's the restless nights full of memories, or the recent fight with the closest thing to a father she had left, but her will to go on had waned. Derelict, with no desire to protect the galaxy like she once did.

After spending one hundred years locked with the manifestation of long forgotten evil, she now has a duty owed to her people. Managing construction, costs, and records has the overworked Hylian fit for a change. Hopefully one that won't cause her more trouble then she already deals with.

Summary
Things were normal on Mobius, not good per se; Eggman was still in control of over fifty percent of the planet. However, people were used to it, and this included Cream. Cream was used to Eggman's reign of terror and the constant threat of becoming roboticized. But there was hope still. Then the knothole was attacked by Zebian space pirates. She was kidnapped by them along with a large group of other Mobians and watched as they all were killed slowly, leaving her traumatized. Then she's saved by a group of mercenaries that end up taking her home. Bonds are made and put to the test as Cream grows and strengthens in character.
