I do not wish it to be so.” Mira huffed and grasped her sister’s arm. “You need not lie to me.” she muttered.

Searching through this pine forest is like trying to find a building outside of a snowglobe; everything looks the same, and no matter where he turns, everything is shaken up again. His vivid green eyes squint to make out his surroundings, but come up short as his eyes dart between the abundant amount of trees surrounding him. The only difference between where he was a few seconds ago is a rock or well-placed pile of leaves he’s seen elsewhere at least five times by now. His consciousness began to dread seeing the same rock over and over again.
Why is he going back? Why, when he never chose to be there in the first place? He can’t reason with himself at the moment. Dazed, bogged down, and shivering through every movement, Goosebumps spread over his body as his toes curl. Pins and needles prick little dots into his feet like he’s a Beanie Baby and someone shook up his extremities in the cruelest way.

“Light. You're really lucky to have a family like that.” Her grandfather nodded at his own statement, followed by his younger colleague, who exclaimed, almost sobbing. “I think I'm going to cry!”
