“Hi.” Newton smiled.
“Newton.” Hermann began. “I want to… thank you, for yesterday, for the… ‘pride’ it made my day.” Hermann admitted. “Not many people take notice of the small details about me, somehow you do.” Hermann swallowed hard and grinned. “So, I decided the only fair thing to do would be to give something in return.” Herms nodded to himself.
“I- huh–” Newton chuckled, his cheeks flushed. “Dude, is that why you stayed up late? Were you making me something?” Newton smiled widely.
“Yes.” Hermann answered bluntly.
“Dude!! You didn’t have to do that! That’s really sweet of you–”
“Hand. Please.” Hermann ordered.
“Hmm?” Newton tilted his head with confusion.
“Please give me your hand for a moment.” Hermann asked properly.
“Oh- uh, sure.” Newton chuckled, he was a tad confused but did as told, he reached his tiny hand into Hermann’s larger hand.
Hermann grasped the small man's hand.
