Aww, this made me smile. I actually remember seeing the art for this before I read the fic and thinking "ok, this is AMAZING, now where is my fic??" And then, halfway through this I saw the words "eamesstealsthings.com" and was like..WAIT A SECOND. As a person who has an ..incredible..weakness.. for detective/thief stories AND who loved the art, this was great. Loved in particular:Yusuf, ariadne, the hot dogs!, saito, the bright orange blanket, Eames, the bandaids!!, Arthur and his "this is the stupidest thing I've ever done," the letters, the poker chips, "what was her name again?? Mal?"(get REKT Cobb), the mirrors! "I've been thinking of bringing on a point man," Arthur realizing he's in love, *points* "YOU," "and finally, it comes to him," EAMES KNOWING FIRST, don't call me when Cobb gets married, the letter at the end. AND. "WWW.ARTHURANDEAMESSTEALTHINGS.COM." *cries*
Really I'm very invested in Arthur and Cobb giving each other shit in this weird mentor-boss-sabotage target relationship! After Eames whisks Arthur away Cobb is like "Well it is probably good that this happened, all things considered" but then he starts visibly wilting as his wedding approaches and eventually Mal is like "...I think you are under a strange impression that Arthur would have agreed to be your best man if he hadn't run off to be an international career thief" and Cobb is like "WHY IS THAT IMPRESSION STRANGE? IT SEEMS PERFECTLY LOGICAL TO ME, OF COURSE ARTHUR WOULD HAVE BEEN BEST MAN. MAL WHAT ARE YOU SAYING."
