there's just something about us mentos enjoyers collectively agreeing that mel is the steadfast one between the two of them. obviously, that's very much well-portrayed in the show, but it's so easy to have trinity be the lead, given her strong personality, buuuuuut i love it even more when mel is the one steering her through things trinity doesn't quite know how to navigate aka feelings and affection and :') thank you for writing this. i've been meaning to leave a comment after reading this some time ago, but alas, i keep getting distracted by responsibilities (read: fic updates). hoping to read more from you! :)
