Wow, this was fucking excellent. I've never seen this kind of set-up before, with how they went to dinner and teased each other first thanks to Dad's foresight. Everything about this was great, the mutuality of everything, just the sense of how pleased with one another they are, and how they admired different aspects of one another even as they were distracted. The patience John had waiting and watching as Dad undressed and came to him, and the way you described the kisses, all of that was fantastic, and the overall intimacy and carefulness Dad had with John, just. Wow. This is really good. Love it to death. Best I've seen for these two.
I think my favorite part about it was that you were careful not to vilify either one! I'm smitten by the maturity they both had, and how there wasn't anything inherently negative about what was going on. Everything was measured and genuine and sweet, and I'm fucking happy for them both. Amazing work.
