    this was incredible!! you absolutely nailed lukas’s yearning!! so many reviews for deep end mentioned that they felt like there wasn’t enough yearning in the story, and i felt lost bc to me lukas spent a good deal of the book yearning (and scarlett too but that’s a diff story), but in his stoic, swedish way and i’m genuinely so happy that you saw that too and played with that element so beautifully in this fic!! i really loved that you dropped in things from the list—it drove me a bit nuts that we never find out what they had both checked off in the book so appreciated this so much—and had lukas fantasize about what he would do to scarlett. despite his reserve, lukas is such a fascinating character and i’m thrilled that you delved into his headspace while he was denying himself! i could keep gushing about this fic, but this is already an incomprehensible ramble lol, thank you for writing and posting!! i would give you a hundred more kudos if i could xo

      Thank you so much for this kind and thoughtful comment (it was definitely not an incomprehensible ramble!). I am so glad you enjoyed the fic!
      I saw those reviews too, and I also noticed that a lot of people wished that the book had a dual POV, and that was partly what made me write this. Of course there was yearning, it just wasn't written explicitly on the page. I mean, Lukas had been interested in Scarlett for two years. That's a lot of yearning!

      I drove me nuts too that we didn't get to read the list so I just had to mention at least a few things!
