DDLJ fic in the year 2023!! I just rewatched it recently and, of course, fell in love all over again. Love this fic, the sweetness and sadness of the life they won and how they're navigating it. Raj's tone is perfect, all his little nods to their in-jokes, so in-character. I also like how you explored Simran and her aspirations, I always wanted more of her in the movie itself, if that makese sense. Pitch perfect on both of them.

It means a lot that you thought Raj and Simran were in character. I agree, Simran is so fascinating, both when it comes to her relationships and these aspirations that she’s mostly kept hidden; the idea of letting her explore those makes me so happy, haha. (I love the scene where she and her sister are dancing to music, and they have to switch it quickly when her father is coming home—it’s such a wonderful detail!) Plus the movie’s end tries to wrap everything up neatly, but you know there’d be so much up in the air about their life after.
