Comment on You're a Sham, Edgeworth

  1. I always so enjoy your fics <3 This is so fun and goofy, your Phoenix is probably my peak go-to Phoenix in my head. The way you integrate canon elements like the court record and casually searching the wastepaper basket in a quest to click it all is unparallel, seriously a marker of your work. Oh, my boyfriend isn’t in the courthouse where he said he would be. Better take a picture to document it. Their domestic disputes over who drank the last of the milk must be incredibly well evidenced.

Phoenix having Miles’ Wikipedia page memorized <3 <3 <3

The joke about the tax break! I love when jokes trigger the magatama in fics!

I like Phoenix confronting him about the curse (also his pouty break up laments are absolute gold!) and Edgeworth being like I refuse to acknowledge this documented thing because it’s weird. Feels like how he just pretends Maya has boobs in court sometimes. And then him basically calling Phoenix out for being so obsessed that he’d have treated it like a minor setback at most even if he learned it up front- and Phoenix taking that as encouragement! I love their dynamic. You do a great established NM because they’re not sacchrine sweet contented, they still bicker and have drama and present evidence at each other. Phoenix is still dreadfully insecure and Miles is still uncommunicative and haughty. I love them!!!

Surely fate will let that fourth grade trial stand once the fine print of Iris has gone away. Also I love Iris keeping a whole marriage secret from Phoenix, it feels very her lol. Amazing take on the prompt, I super appreciate you!

    1. Fantasia in f minor by Schubert

(Eeeep I'm still on my mission to catch up on comments and I'll get there one day! I will! I really will!)

😁😁😁 These are all things I personally find hilarious, especially Phoenix randomly filing stuff into the court record. It keeps catching me by surprise... I'll be clicking around at random, and suddenly the little evidence pop-up shows up. And I always go, "huh, I wouldn't have thought to document that..." so that's the sentiment coming out here 😁 I also think ordinary conversations turning into court arguments is hilarious. It's never just *shakes head* "I respectfully disagree", no, it's got to be *slams the table* Objection!

This was a delightful prompt! There's something so dramatic and also crack-y about a whole secret marriage coming to light, it's really fun to write!
