Comment on A Servant's Duty

  1. I'm terribly sorry for the late reply (especially since you commented two times!). First I was on a business trip and then lacking the spoons because I'm just not used to travelling anymore XD In any case, please rest assured that I read your comment and that it gave me the brainweasles during my business trip!
You are absolutely right that they are sooo similar in that they are protective and will go to unusual measures to secure who they love so desperately. But I think that while Izzy is a ball of barely contained rage and will let everybody know about it, Mererid's anger (or revenge) will be more subtle but maybe even more terrifiying. I'm imagining subtle acts like serving spoilt dinners, ruining Geralt's clothes by accidentally washing them wrong (just imagine if Geralt's shirts suddenly were too small and Emhyr having to act all strict and severe about it while secretly being delighted about it all!), moving the furniture in Geralt's apartment just an inch so the witcher will bump into everything, not notifiying Geralt about appointments and then swearing up and down that he did tell him. Emhyr watches it all, straight-faced, while Geralt slowly thinks he's going mad.

I think you actually have found very fertile ground for this idea! It might even bring me back into The Witcher! I make no promises but if I write this (and finish it! *eyes my 80.000 word fic which has been lacking the last chapter for the past year), I'll be sure to dedicate it to you :)

      Yay more Witcher stories \o/
The thing with moving furniture and meddling with his clothes has been done - I think - by queenofyumcha? Or someone else :')

Well and now I had to write things myself, which is horrible :D
