I know this was posted a while ago, but I kinda got out of MCU for a while… Now, I’m back for a bit, so I’m catching up. :D I really feel bad for Thor, tracking down something that he thinks Loki did, but freaking out at the possibility that something from their past came back to haunt them. Oof. I’m not even surprised that young Thor leapt at the opportunity to go on what he perceived as an exciting adventure. Getting involved in anything where dark magic has been used isn’t the greatest of ideas. I love how brilliant Loki is! I can only imagine how well-respected he is outside of Asgard for his knowledge. I’m not surprised that he was able to sense the darkness and evil within the forest. He is very powerful, after all. I feel so bad for Loki, being bullied and treated like that by Sif and the Warriors Three while Thor says nothing. Oof. Thor panicking when Loki collapsed like that was totally expected. And, of course, Sif is trying to make Thor have doubts about Loki. There are times when I really, really don’t like her, and now is one of them. I can’t believe that they were gone for nearly a month! Yikes. Something is definitely wrong in the forest. Poor Loki. I can’t even imagine what it was like to be trapped as a spirit, unable to tell anyone that he’s *right there*. Oof. At least Loki can see and interact with the spirits of the other victims. It must have been so stressful for all of them. Watching one of the spirits being eaten must have been horrifying. I’m not at all surprised that Loki found the strength to save Thor from the draugr when it attacked. I love how the story switches between past and present. Thor suggesting that he and the Avengers use a Ouija board to communicate with the spirits was cool. The spirit telling them what did that to them must have been so terrifying for him. The past came back to haunt Thor in the worst way possible. I love that Thor was smart enough in the past to find a way for Loki to communicate with him. I had wondered about Calder from the beginning… and what Frigga said about the origin of the draugr was really creepy! I loved Loki and Thor working together to get rid of Calder! I do wonder why Loki awoke and didn’t remember any of what happened though. I’m not surprised that Loki went to find Thor to give him the Pendant so Calder wouldn’t be able to harness the Infinity Stones. It’s incredibly satisfying that Calder consumed Thanos, but now they need to deal with him. Loki destroying Calder in the end was awesome! It’s nice to see Loki recovering on Asgard, and I’ll always love his interactions with Frigga. The ending was epic! I loved this story so, so much!!! :D
Thanks. I had a lot of fun writing this and blending Thor and Loki’s world with elements from Supernatural. I went with Loki not remembering anything because that's what happened to Dean in the show. It wasn't until later on that Dean remembered what happened so I did the same with Loki.
