  1. Supernatural must have taken their episode title from the Led Zeppelin song -- writers searching for titles are obviously the same no matter if they're pros or fanfic authors!

All right, this started out very spooky but riveting. Sif is an asswipe but we will forgive her for the moment because she's the one who found the skull which provided the answer to who the culprit was. Chucking a flaming bottle at Calder was very enjoyable to read; pity his destruction didn't last. I very much enjoyed Thor and spirit!Loki's interactions, and the way they defended each other when in danger. Also, super good AllParents/Loki hug, the poor boy needed that.

And then. And then you made me read CALDER RIPPING HIMSELF OUT OF LOKI'S BODY. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH BRAIN BLEACH I'M GOING TO NEED TO GET RID OF THAT IMAGE? Grr, it's a good thing you gave me some delicious fluff like his parents coming for Loki and Loki finally being able to eradicate Calder (and that was a very interesting twist that he'd taken over Thanos's body!) and getting to go home to recuperate in peace in Asgard. The image of Frigga gently nursing him back to health and Odin hovering in concern is the sort of thing that sustains me. Imagine Loki knowing that he can close his eyes and simply rest for the first time in a year, dozing off to sleep with the sound of his mother reading to him or humming in the background as she worked on some spinning or weaving. And waking to feel his mother's or brother's or father's hand slowly stroking through his hair, and drifting back off, knowing himself safe and loved as his body slowly healed. And then reading in Frigga's garden, his whole life ahead of him once more. *Deep contented sigh* Oh all right, I guess I forgive you for the body snatcher's moment. JUST DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN. UGH.

Oh, and I liked that Loki and Thor were able to stop Calder back in Asgard before he got to the children, thanks for that.

    1. I wouldn't be surprised if it did since a lot of the music in the show is classic rock and Led Zeppelin is one of Dean's favorite bands.

I had to have a spooky aspect, especially since the prompt was brought about because of a Supernatural episode. I can't seem to write Sif as anything but a bitch. Even when I try making her somewhat nice it never works out. The Molotov cocktail idea came from another episode which is why I was tempted to do the "Hey assbutt" thing.

I had to go for the horror aspect and having the thing that was controlling Loki literally rip itself from his body was definitely going to pull it off. I definitely imagine his recovery to have been surrounded by his family. Maybe to the point where the seemed smothering and various threats of stabbing occurred (mainly in Thor's case). Loki and Odin still need to have their talk but I'm confident they get there and work through everything they need to. I have an image of Loki in his bed, buried in blankets and pillows with Frigga sitting beside him keeping him company while he slept. I also doubt she'd want to let him out of her sight for the longest time. Loki still has a lot to deal with but having his family supporting him makes everything seem a lot less daunting.

There was no way the kids were going to die, especially not the Hakon and Embla were killed.

I also couldn't resist having Loki drag Thor to a bookstore or the D.B. Cooper reference.
