So... how do I make it look like it did before? Is there a skin for that?
I completely understand the need to add functionality and adaptibility but it just doesn't work well at ALL with my browser and netbook. I liked the old version and am looking for an easy way to fake it. Archive 1.0, 2.0, Default and One Point Faux don't, actually, look like the old archive, and do not work as well with my system as the original, or, indeed, any better than the current default. Do you have any suggestions?
Also, I've been using the archive since it opened, but I still don't know the answer to this: Is there be anywhere for users of the archive to have public discussions with each other and archive coders about their experiences, and concerns using the site. For example, with the new coding, I can't scroll to the bottom of the comment box. It jitters up and down as I attempt to type.
If you've got specific things in One Point Faux that don't look like the old version, the best way is to send in a support request for them to be fixed. In the meantime, if you let us know which bits aren't working, we can help you create a custom skin that will adapt it to what you need.
The main place for public discussion is comments to news posts like this one. Bug reports should go to Support, though. When we get the new Support board next year, much more of that discussion will be able to be public - I'm really looking forward to it.
Thanks for your feedback - it's all helpful as we work to improve the new skins.
