Comment on Update: Site problems and our firewall upgrade

  1. Ever since the downtime today, I've been having trouble uploading a new chapter to a story of mine. I use a smart-copy into rich text rather than the import (easier for me), and then edit from there before posting. It was working perfectly last night. Now, however, every time I try to "edit" my new chapter before posting to fix any cross-site errors, when I "preview" it erases ALL changes made to the work - html or just text. I've tried editing just using Rich Text and just using HTML, but whether I'm trying to add a div or change word-spacing, when I hit "preview" all the work I've edited is reverted back to the original, un-edited copy. Any ideas on what's causing this? I've tried deleting the draft and starting over, but I run into the same issue again :(

      Hi jad,

I'm afraid you've run into a known bug with editing or posting new chapters to an existing multi-chapter work. Changes made are not visible on Preview, but they aren't actually erased--if you post/update the chapter they will appear. The issue has been reported to our coders for a fix. If you're editing the HTML version, you may find it helpful to switch back and forth to Rich Text to see the formatting outcome of your changes.

      We apologize for the problem!
