Adelaide, assuming she lived through the end of book 2, is alive, she'd have gone down to Three Havens sometime in the middle of this made up third book. Orin, in the middle of this made up third book, came to One King from wherever the dragon doppel colony was because he couldn't stay away
The inspo for this was a song by the mechanisms, who writes tragedies. Boiling everything else down, that's why everyone's dead, because in the original song only two people are left alive
The tagging is fine. I mean, I basically, clicked a OneShot tagged with angst and hurt/comfort, and complained that I found more hurt, than I thought I would find. While this is true, I was just trying to show my feelings while reading, like half laughing on a funny OneShot. It whould be wrong to say, this was a 'fun' read but it definitely was satisfying. I don't think an author should make me feel good, they should make me feel. And I guess "but why :../" was what I was supposed to feel. Also had I known the song this would have been an extra warning (more likely a 'should have seen that coming' but either way a cool detail). Also to be completely honest I was teasing a little, in hopes to get more lore sneak-peek out of it, because while this isn't the original and also no 'realistic guess' the OneShot teases a lot of interesting ideas.
