I was intrigued by that comment, too, and downloaded Stanza (to an iPod touch) to poke at some buttons at random. If anyone else is interested, there are two options for adding fic to Stanza, as far as I can see:
1) Add AO3 as a catalog under Get Books > Shared > Edit > Add Book Source > Web Page > enter name / URL > Save > Done (whew), after which you can browse the archive from within Stanza and download files to the library. However, when I tried this, it saved the file as download.epub, resulting in a library entry for "download" which I then had to edit manually to include the title. Not sure if that's just me or what have you.
2) Browse the archive in Safari, download the epub file (haven't tried it with the other file options) and Safari will automatically offer to open the file in Stanza, which will add it to the library, title and all.
Anyone else, feel free to chime in if there's a better option! I'm finding this wildly nifty so far.
