Summary
When he looks back on it, Tim will remember the hours that follow his accident as less painful and more crowded.
Which is pretty surprising, seeing as how he’s currently rocking an average of about one injury per body part, counting all fingers and toes and unnecessary organs, if he had to make an estimate.

Summary
16-year-old Ezra Standish could still remember quite clearly his shock and dismay the first time he was forced to attend a Junior Rodeo. Four years later he looked back on that day as the turning point in his young life and the memory of it would often force a rueful smile to his face.
The first part of the Junior Rodeo had been just as bad as he'd feared; 45 minutes of small children bouncing around on fat ponies accompanied by the enthusiastic screams of friends and relatives.
The second half of the competition was divided into two age groups, 13-15 and 16-18. As he had absolutely nothing else to do, Ezra watched the contestants and gradually realized there was a remarkable difference between the horsemanship of a 9-year-old and a teenager. The older kids were more in tune with their horse's movements.
Boredom slowly, grudgingly grew into interest and by the end of the competition, if the emotions he'd felt weren't exactly appreciation and respect they had been something very close. Close enough that when, a week later Buck had once more offered to give him riding lessons he'd actually accepted.

Summary
He smiles, all teeth, “Come on Replacement, I even got to the door with both legs busted. This should be nothing.”
“You’re right. Jason… Jason wouldn’t have given up. He would fight, I can still—“
The boy wobbles, and Jason has to suppress the mortifying impulse to jump to his aid.
“I can still fight. Batman needs me.”
“That’s a terrible idea,” he muses aloud, and if there’s a hint of real concern somewhere under all the roiling green, well, nobody can prove it.

When Gibbs takes a bullet, the hunt for his shooter leads back to one of their own.
"She's a spy, McGee. That's her job. Not a federal agent or liaison officer or whatever the hell she's supposed to be."
Not for Ziva fans.
