It's bullshit. But his open wounds are no joke.

Naomasa was surprised to see the other detective calling. He was even more surprised when the man gritted out a request for him to join the team. All in all it made no sense... until, of course, he entered the room and found Eraserhead lounging at the back, watching him through feigned sleep. Ah. That explained it. The hero's approval was notoriously hard to win, and Naomasa was one of the very few who had somehow won it. He sighed softly, not missing the way Eraserhead's lip twitched into a smirk at the sound. He would owe Naomasa a drink after this one.

Summary
Cedric’s death marked Harry. It made him think. Really think. About life. About death. What it means to live and what is important in life. His priorities change. His perception of the world and people within it changes.
As he evaluates his life until now, he comes to the realisation that his life has never been his own and that he was never truly alive. Determined to change that, he makes a decision; he is going to take his life into his own hands. He is going to be the only one in charge of himself and his happiness. Because he wanted and deserved to be happy. He wanted and deserved to live without people meddling and trying to control him, without trying to hurt him.
He was aware people would be confused. They will have questions. Some will support him, some will absolutely resent him. He still wasn’t sure who will fall into which category, but he honestly didn’t give a damn about it, because almost nobody seemed to give a damn about him either.

Summary
Izuku dragged himself to his desk, tore it apart until he found the paint set his mother had bought him to shut him up on his last birthday. He found an old canvas in the corner and wiped the dust off. He turned the light on, and he put brush to canvas, and he let that pain flow into the colors. Izuku let the ache in his bones, the searing red coating his throat all dribble across the canvas like the blood that he continued to cough up, splattering his desk.
Minutes or hours later, it was dark outside his window and the glow of his desk lamp was the only light in the whole apartment. He stood up, covered in red and green, black and white. He’d sobbed the pain and emotion from his body but not through tears. His fingers were coated in paint and he felt…better.

OR: Izuku finally gives up on being a hero, and accepts that he's never felt as free as when he paints. So he decides to become an artist and put his past pain to canvas for the word to see.

“It’s okay, Toshi. I’m not scared of a quirk. Just do what they say, please.”
Toshi sighed, “Fine.”
“Good choice. Now, activate Izuku’s quirk as directed and return your chains to your wrists or, again, measures will be taken to persuade you.”
“Izuku?”
“Yea-”
Izuku’s mind went blank. He felt his shoulders slump and his world go foggy and darker than it had been only a second ago. He had no control of his limbs or any real desire to do anything.
“Izuku - activate your quirk.”

OR: Izuku and Hitoshi are captives in an underground fighting ring, but maybe one day, someone will come to their rescue... but will they even need rescue at that point?
