VARIGO!!!
After the loss of his father, Varian started to spiral into a life of crime. While he was able to terrorize the kingdom for a time, he was eventually caught and thrown in prison. He quickly forms an alliance with his cellmate, Hugo. Despite not always getting along, the two boys look out for each other. With all the reliable adults in their lives gone, and all their friends having abandoned them, the two get very close with each other, working towards the goal of escaping with a group of inmates led by an older man named Andrew.

Starting at a brand-new college after being expelled from his last, Varian needs to be squeaky clean on all fronts this time. His religious zealot of a father will only pay for his school and boarding if he can prove he's cleaned up his act, and that includes those 'gay urges' Varian's preacher taught him to pray away. So far, it's going really well, as long as no one reads his search history or sees what happens to his face whenever his new roommate walks into the same room as him.

A twist to the story, Modern Prince.
Hugo travels back in time and after being accused of witchcraft, is saved by Prince Varian who wants him as his manservant at the castle. Hugo promises to grant the prince a cure to his illness if he just lets him travel back to his timeline. Revealing the truth to a medieval prince could have disastrous results, especially if that prince is making Hugo fall head over heels. -

Summary
Hugo, an obsessed history buff, finds a way to travel back in time to 16th century Corona so he can do more in depth research for his PhD. After camping outside a medieval village, the townspeople suspect him of witchcraft and want him dead. Before he manages to escape, he has a run in with a deathly ill prince named Varian who learns that modern medicine exists and decides to do something risky.

If you told Hugo a day ago that the Alchemist would ever reach out to him, the Red Hunter, for help, well– screw it, maybe he would believe you. They were almost-coworkers after all.
