Colin lifts his hand with the cigarette to his lips at the same that his eyes open, his head turns, and he first notices Penelope standing there watching him.
"Fuck," he mutters before looking away from her and to the window. "I'm sorry."

"I went into your room to look for you because I needed to tell you the truth!" Penelope shouted, pointing a trembling finger directly at Marina. "I went there to tell you that Marina is cheating on you. She is pregnant, Colin and you are not the father!"
The room fell into a dead, horrified silence.
Marina’s smirk vanished instantly, replaced by a look of profound, fabricated shock. She let out a sharp gasp, covering her mouth as tears immediately flooded her eyes.
"Colin, no!" Marina cried, turning to him and grabbing his hands. "Yes, I'm pregnant—I was going to surprise you tonight, I swear it! But it's yours. How could you say something so horrible, Penelope? Just because you got caught stealing!"
"She is lying!" Penelope screamed, taking a step forward. "Colin, please, you have to believe me, she's using you!"
"Shut up!" Colin roared, stepping in front of Marina to shield her from Penelope. His face was flushed with pure rage. "Just shut up, Penelope! Don't you dare defile her name to cover up what you've done!"

Pen nibbles nervously on her lower lip for another moment despite his urging. "It… I can't even say it out loud."
"Say what out loud?" Colin asks exasperatedly. "I think we're past the point of politeness, Pen. Just out with it. Tell me what you're wondering about."
Her cheeks somehow get even redder then, and suddenly he knows what she's going to say before she says it. He doesn't know how her blushing made the understanding sink in, but it did and he finds himself blushing in advance too. He also finds his eyes dipping surreptitiously to her cleavage before he yanks them back up again.
"There is… something else that could help."
Colin's breath catches and he nods slowly. "Uh huh…"
"You…" Pen trails off as her hands fidget at her sides. "You could maybe… help me."
