Holy fucking he’ll is this wonderful and amazing. Cried a good five tissues after about the half way point but emotional tears, not angsty tears. 10/10 sappy and lovely, oodles of sex. Also I ADORE Laura so much, she’s the Alpha you always wish she’d had the chance to be. Actually the whole supporting cast is wonderful especially Erica and Scott was NOT a horrible dickhead.

The wolf’s head whipped around so fast, Stiles felt like he was watching The Exorcist.
Stiles wondered if he could just stand still enough to make the wolf think he was a tree. A very bright red and jean-clad tree. He doubted it, but one could hope.
He knew it was a lost cause when the wolf turned fully, lips pulled back from its sharp teeth—so very sharp, good fucking Lord!—and began walking towards Stiles.

Summary
Derek Hale is the photographer for the family-run magazine 'NECKZ 'n THROATS', a periodical aimed solely at the werewolf demographic. When the model for their monthly bails out, the staff are hard-pressed to find someone else to photograph at the last minute.
Stiles Stilinski is a college student, scraping by on odd jobs to pay for his education fees. When his long-time friend Lydia finds him a one-off gig at a photo-shoot, he figures it couldn't hurt.
As contrary as their natures appear to be, Derek finds the most fascinating piece of art at the end of his lens.

How had I not read this sooner!? So excellent, slow build to sex at the end, amazing pacing, really loved the switching POV. The one with the plant that Derek hates so Peter loves it.

Stiles is taking mythology and folklore classes, interesting ideas and essays.
“He’d actually decided on a topic straight off the bat, instead of flitting between a half dozen ideas without getting anything done. Comparative mythology – the comparison of myths and legends between different cultures to identify similarities in themes and characteristics. It was something he’d been itching to write, especially as his interests in ancient myths deepened during his years at university. The idea that cultures thousands of miles and hundreds of years apart could have so many similarities in deities (borrowed or stolen, or warped through the fabric of time and human word-of-mouth) was fascinating, at least to him, anyway. All he needed to do now was decide whether to write about linguistic relationships, historical comparatives, or mythological parallels.”
