Matrix Angst
"Why do I have to be the chosen one...?"
Collection dedicated to Rodimus Prime having angst about being the Autobot leader, specifically troubles relating to the Matrix, and feeling unworthy of it.
This collection is open and moderated, meaning you're welcome to add your own fic you think it qualifies, but I'm pretty choosy about Rodimus' characterization, so it may or may not be accepted.
Profile photo is of my own Rodimus figure!

Summary
Rodimus Prime has never believed himself to be good enough to lead the Autobots. He wouldn't wish this burden upon anybody. The end result of a disastrous mission leads him to reflect on the weight upon his shoulders.

Bookmarker's Notes
This made me tear up. Heartbreaking, the sacrifices Rodimus makes to try to repay his debt to others, and it's still never enough.
Continuity note: The category the author chose was G1, and it appears to take place in a canon divergent version of that universe, drawing some inspiration from IDW 1.

Bookmarker's Notes
Beautiful exploration of Rodimus' grief through the Matrix. The main relationship tag is for Rodimus and the Matrix, but the Matrix isn't exactly a sentient being; it's more the sum of its parts, a collection of memories and words from all the bots who bore it.
And these echoes from the past make the 'relationship' between Rodimus and his Matrix all the more impactful.
EDIT: Word of Primus states that the Matrix is a sentient being, I misinterpreted 😅.
