Following the lost match at the pit of doom, Blu and his daughter Bia decide to leave the Amazon, after it becomes clear he will never be welcomed and that Jewel simple does not care about him. However a sudden storm catches them, and suddenly they are in a world were animals live like humans, but keep their behavior as animals.
In this worlds, birds have been vanished to the outskirts of the city, as the weather walls that keep mammals and reptiles comfortable produce toxins that can really get birds injured. Debates have been called for for years, but the response is the same, mammals and reptiles are much bigger populations and the needs of a few birds can't outweight the need of so much many.
Wanting to prove himself, Blu seeks out the famous officers Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, as if anyone can find the solution to the problem, its them. The trio and allies then begin a journey to find a way to get birds back to Zootopia, before a civil dispute can become more.
But with Nick and Judy still figuring out what they are too each other, and Blu dealing with heartbreak, things certainly will not be easy.
