Summary
Our story begins 2 years before the original P&P. Although we have allowed Mr. Collins to still be at the start of his illustrious career with his beloved patroness. I usually only make one small change in my "what ifs" but I have made a number of them in this one and had fun playing them out. I won't reveal them all in the summary but to give you an idea of what you are in for - Elizabeth has grown up loving and caring for Longbourn, knowing it would one day pass to a complete stranger whom her father despises, but then that man dies and his son visits. Would she consider marriage to save Longbourn? A prolonged arrangement in place, what happens when a certain gentleman comes to the area years later? Edited and revised version soon to be published on Amazon as Assumptions and Arrangements. Once I'm able I'll post full version back up here again.
