And despite being the doppelganger for Bi-Han he had created, they were opposites in many ways. Where his Bi-Han had been filled with doubts and rage, this Bi-Han was filled with confidence and knowledge from his years spent as a Titan. In the beginning it had all felt like a chance at redemption, a chance to do right by at least this version of Bi-Han in ways he could not with his own creation.
It had felt like chasing after a ghost, clinging to what he thought he needed.

He was certain the others had been as surprised as he and Lao were when Lord Shao himself came before them, and told them their destiny to be amongst his chosen ones. While most warriors dreamt of such an honour, very few ever made it to Shao’s side. He chose new warriors every 100 years or so, and this time around, he had just so happened to choose Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade and Kenshi Takahashi.
Training under him had been intense, but with dedication, Liu had taken the lessons in stride. The sudden announcement that Shao was sending them to a secretive clan known as the Lin Kuei to train for a few months confused them. Why did they need the assassins clan to train them when they had the best of the best right at Shao’s palace.
